Arrival Tuesday, June 19th

Arrived all in one piece, or nine pieces, I should say.  Our flight was pretty uneventful, which is always nice.  Montreal airport is different, to say the least.  Some bizarre security restriction, like they would not let us get to our gate until about 30 minutes before departure.

Everyone enjoyed the flight and did sleep some.  We arrived at our hotel at around 10:30am.  We were able to get our first "jambon-fromage" sandwich.  One of my kids favorite Parisian treats.  Then we decided to head over to Montmartre for a quick walk around Sacre-Coeur.  Our hotel was close enough to make it a quick trip.  We navigated the Metro well and the kids got a good idea of how that all worked.

Once back at the hotel we met our group and had dinner.  The dinner was pretty good, roti de porc.  Of course, we were not yet ready to call it a night, so we walked a bit around Opera Garnier.  I highly recommend this area.  The Opera is really something to see.

The girls had a bit of trouble getting to sleep but us adults were out once our heads hit the pillow.

Big day tomorrow, we will try to see all of Paris in one day.  Just kidding.
